Q: Is this cloud backup?
A: Our deployment model allows a client with a single site to backup to Amidata’s secure, multi tenant client. We also support clients to run two appliances and keep their data in their own Datacentre
Q: Can I use my existing backup software?
A: Absolutely, if you can write to tape or network share, you can write to our system. Our system is yet to meet software it can’t support.
Q: Where is my data stored?
A: We deploy an appliance in your datacentre that can replicate to an offsite appliance. The offsite appliance is either located in your disaster recovery datacentre or our master appliance in a secure Data Protect. Contact us to learn more.
Q: Is my data secure?
A: Yes – Data is encrypted in flight and at rest.
Q: Do you offer a tape out option?

Q: What is the 3-2-1 Rule?
A: The 3-2-1 backup rule is an easy-to-remember acronym for a common approach to keeping your data safe in almost any failure scenario. The rule is: keep at least three (3) copies of your data, and store two (2) backup copies on different storage media, with one (1) of them located offsite.
