Ransomware attacks on small and large businesses since 2017, show that 5% of these businesses fell victim to these attacks. These businesses paid the ransom dollar amount to the attacker without any guarantee, that data retrieval will occur at all.
Computing consultancy firm Datto Inc. last month released its second annual State of the Channel Ransomware Report.
The reports states that back-up and data recovery is still the most effective ransomware protection.
